Sand Cloud VIP Box Review - #savethefishies

So lately I've been engaging in hour long instagram browsing sessions.  During these times there are two online stores that I continuously see ads about - Sand Cloud.  Normally, I get mildly annoyed with seeing the same ads over and over for products I can't afford so I never really looking into it much but recently, I bought a couple things because I'll be honest, they do have super cute stuff.  I thought I would do a review of the products today and share some discount codes(!!) with y'all.

Let's talk Sand cloud.
Sand cloud is a company that I think originally started making turkish-style (the really thin-easily traveled with) towels.  Now they have tshirts, hoodies, long sleeved shirts, water bottles, and some jewelry items.  They focus on feminine and boho designs usually featuring at least one of three themes - tie-dye, zen-tangle, and/or sea life,

The best part about Sandcloud is 10% of every purchased is donated to charities that help marine conservation. #SaveTheFishies is their whole thing.  Charities donated to include Marine Conversation Institute, Surfrider Foundation, Pacific Marine Mammal Center, and more.  Shirts ranged from $28 to $48, Towels are around $50 but you can get an XL version for more. They have a glass water bottle with a cute wooden screw top that is on sale for $28. It's one of their best selling items. They are always offering sales of some amount or another and you can find discount codes everywhere (including one in this blog!). They also have a rewards program where you earn points per dollar spent and can cash them in on future purchases. You can also rack up points by sharing on facebook and following them on instagram. It's super easy to earn $5 towards a purchase.

Recently, they launched a VIP box which I decided to try out. The VIP box is a monthly shipment that retails for $30. Downside to that price is you aren't able to use your reward points or discount codes. It's still a great deal. It comes with a long sleeved shirt (although it might switch to tshirts as summer is coming) and a pair of socks.  Some claimed theirs came with a keychain or button pin but mine did not. I did however receive a few cute promo stickers. Here's what I got:

March's theme was a polar bear. I wasn't honestly stoked about this when I heard as I recently moved to Savannah and it's not quite polar bear season well...ever. However, I actually loved this design as soon as I saw it. The sunset colors are gorgeous and it doesn't feel too winter-y. If you've had long sleeved shirts (or hoodies) that are unisex adult sizes and are usually sold with like school emblems or something. This shirt fits like those but is an ever-so-slightly thinner material. It features the pretty design on the back and the circular sand cloud logo on the front. The socks are thick like well-made thick not make-your-feet-sweat thick and they actually fit me a lot better than other tube socks do.  I wear a size 11. I did see some people with like size 7 and 8 feet complaining that they were a tad big on them, so keep that in mind if that's something you're picky about.

For transparency, let me just say that I am an affiliate, and I do get points/commission if you buy from their site using my links or codes or whatever. BUT. I literally am obsessed with this site and everything on it. I'm a member of the private rep group and this company is super involved with keeping customers and reps up to date on launches, constantly coming up with new products, and educating/facilitating things like beach cleanups. It's seriously the coolest thing to see. I've never been a part of such a positive community.  They are based in CA which tragic because I would definitely like to get more involved with the company if they were in the southeast. Either way, I've already been inspired to do my own mini-beach cleanup and I'm becoming more aware of the single-use items I use that I could do away with (#saynotostraws).

You don't just have to live on the beach to buy things from here. But loving animals is recommended. If you're done ready and ready to check out their awesome merch you can CLICK HERE to go to their website.  And if you'd like to save %15 off your purchase, use the code JAMIEADA15

Leave a comment with your an item on your sandcloud wishlist!
Curious as to what's on mine? - this shirt is number one, the water bottle linked above, this awesome aztec blanket, and the silver whale tale ring. And probably a lot more tbh. xD

P.S. I live 20 minutes from the beach now?! so stay tuned for more beachy posts. :)

August mini-Wishlist

August Wishlist

Aqua rain books, Daisy by Marc Jacobs, They're Real mascara, Coralista Blush, Essie nail polish in Mint Candy Apple.

I only put the things I *really* wanted on this month's wishlist.  Daisy I've been coveting for awhile now.  The rainboots are a dire need for back-to-school and I just love this color.  They''re real and Coralista I have received sample sizes of from Sephora but would like to purchase the full size. And the Essie nail polish is a new addition.  I'm currently wearing "For Audrey" by China Glaze and it appears to be a very similar color but this one is more green.

Just a quick update as to what's new with me: I just got back from Georgia, a 2,257 mile road trip to and from, to visit a guy I met online and have been talking to on a daily basis since March.  It went amazingly and he is absolute perfection, as I knew he would be, so we are now attempting a long distance relationship which I have no doubt we will do just fine at.  I go back to Western Illinois University, as a Junior, on the 14th and classes start up again on the 19th.  I'm ecstatic to go back. I've really missed college life.  Oh! I also got a new job working at Little Caesars so we'll see how that goes.

Thanks for all the lovely people who have visited and subscribed during my long absences. Your support is much appreciated!

OH.
I got a new twitter! My old account (color_myworld) was deactivated two months ago due to some personal drama  but I'm back so Follow me!

Etsy: Most Wanted/Gift ideas

Etsy Wish List:
1. Peacock Vintage Print on Upcycled Sheet Music, AvantPrint, shop currently closed - I love this style of art, cool paintings and designs on "upcycled" sheet music or book pages.  I think it's so classy and unique.  I actually have a framed peacock print from the dollar store for my dorm room that is some what similar to this.

2. Blue Crystal Swarovski Necklace, Crystalyte925, $32 - This really doesn't need explaining. It's so beautiful and delicate and very Downton Abbey.  Love, love, love. Everything from her shop really.

3. Terrarium, $5-15 - The one that is picture disappeared before I did this post so linked is the search page with tons to view.  They often come with moss or air plants which just need to be misted once perweek but otherwise take care of themselves.  These are so cute and make great gifts for those eco-friendly loves in your life.

4. "Till I got an arrow to the knee" Skyrim themed bracelet, LunaDesigns101, $6.69 - For those of you not familiar with Skyrim, it's a medieval, sim, adventure type video game that is the 5th in a series called The Elder Scrolls. The quote featured on this is kind of an inside joke with players because it's a cliche line that a lot of the NPDs (Non Playable Characters) say. So I just liked this because it was cute and simple and amusing. Luna is a UK based seller btw but she does ship internationally at great rates.

5. Peacock Feather iPhone Cover, RetroLoveCases, $19.95 - Are you starting to notice a trend here? Haha, I just really like peacock related things this season.  I think that's because my bedding for college is Aqua so peacock themed thing are easy to pair with it.  Also because in Illinois where I used to live, you could hear them scream all the time, which was kinda cool.

6. Turtle Photograph, elgarboart, $30 - Another Aqua/colorful themed item.  After my gazillionth trip to the zoo in October, I decided I'm quite fond of sea turtles and harbor seals.  This is such a beautiful photo and love angle at which it's taken.

So that's all for this list! This might give you an idea for some gifts or at least give you a little preview of Etsy if you've never shopped there before.  There are hundreds of great items that would make perfect unique gifts so I encourage you to take a look around!

You can't tell I like Hard Candy, can you? (: This is not my Christmas wishlist btw, I tend to not ask for beauty-related items for Christmas.  This list doesn't have anything on it that is out-of-this world pricey, meaning at some point, I will get all of these items.    Some of them are things I've already had that I just need more of, like the mascaras.

Tomorrow I'm posting a non-beauty wishlist featuring all Etsy items! Because I adore Etsy.

P.S. A giveaway at 50 followers so watch out in the coming weeks for that! (:

Most Wanted Items in November

want

My October favorites post, whenever I get around to writing that isn't going to consist of much.  Why? Because of the tons of shit I've bought during the month of November, none of it has been really wow-ing.  I could bring in products that aren't new during the month of October but I want my monthly favorites to be relatively new things that I've loved during the month that way I can compile a big yearly favorites video to show what products really made the cut.  Anyway, not many October favorites, so I was inspired to make a wishlist (thanks Polyvore!) of things I want to purchase during the month in the hopes that some of them will be on my November Favorites.

Sooo here's just a quick run down of the products that are pictured and why they're on this list.

Soap & Glory Body Butter, $18 - Zoella, on  youtube and a couple others talk about Soap and Glory products, particularly their sugar scrubs.  Winter makes my skin flaky and "thick" feeling if that makes any sense so I feel like a sugar scrub would be perfect not to mention relaxing.  Maybe, to cure my sugar craving, I can absorb this through my skin instead of cheating on my diet with a cupcake! No? Damn...

OPI Nail Laquer, $3 - That price is from amazon btw, for those of you that were like "wtf?". Haha. The shade pictured is Wine.  I've been searching drug stores for a great dark red and all of the ones I buy look dark red on the bottle but show up on my nails as more of a berry color, which I really don't like.  As far as non-drug store polishes, I've only ever tried China Glaze, which has gorgeous colors but chips faster than my $2 polish from walmart.  So, long store short, I'm going to try OPI. I've seen 2 october favorite videos that features OPI polishes.  I'll be taking a trip to Sally Beauty very soon to grab some of these.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips, $8 - These are expensive, so I've been holding off on getting these because I'm afraid they won't work or that they won't fit me right.  But I love their designs, especially the lace and zebra prints.

ELF Moisturizing Lip Tint, $3 - I bought this already! I used it twice then lost it. So maddddd! The nearest place I can get it is and hour and a half away.  I really liked it but I only used it a few times so that's why its on this list.

Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick,  $14 - I want this in 107.  I saw it in a drugstore lip product video on YT and thought the shade would be just what I'm looking for.  Pricey, but if its the red shade I'm looking for, it'll be worth it because these Cover Girl, Wet 'n Wild, and NYC shades are not cutting it.

ELF Studio Makeup Setting Mist, $6 - I saw this in another bloggers October favorites.  I've been a fan of The All Natural Face's hydration mist for awhile and it gives me a glow when I used mineral foundation that otherwise dulls my complexion, I want a mist that's going to actually set my makeup and keep it from melting or rubbing off throughout the day.  I always leave school looking significantly worse than I did when I got there.

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush, $8 - I want the one in Peach something.  I had their blush when it was in the Mousse line (I don't know if they still make that or not) and I really liked it but ran out and never repurchased so I want to try this.

Revlon Just Bitten Lip stains, $9 - I'm most excited about this. I have an NYC lipstain in Rockin Ruby (or something like that) and I absolutely loveeeee it but it's almost out.  I've seen these raved about all over youtube so I'm dying to check these out. It's a lipstain plus balm which is great because after applying a lipstain I absolutely HAVE to apply a lip balm otherwise my lips feeling annoyingly dry.

That's all for this post!
My super small October favorites coming next!
